Occasional Chair

Woodlux Inc
USA
WOODLUX

Featuring a shaker-influenced composition of wood and papercord, this rare and unusual occasional chair is of the same design genre as chairs by George Nakashima, Edmund Spence for Industria Mueblera SA, and Paul McCobb for O'Hearn.

Crafted by Woodlux Inc., a little-known New York studio that despite being referenced in George Nelson's 1954 book Storage, faded into obscurity.

Signed with factory branded marks: Woodlux, BKLYN, NY.
