CHARLES + RAY EAMES   This rare DCM features experimental couplings that wrap around the frame at the front mounts. An LCM from the same series was featured at Wright (click here to view): "The early experiments with the welded rubber yielded a number of working solutions to the problem of attaching plywood to a metal frame. In this example, a coupling was incorporated around the front legs that surrounds the leg and is subsequently attached to the rubber mounts with a screw."
